THE SHARED PASSIONS OF
THE FOUNDING FATHERS
The founding partners of Atlas Public House share a passion for world travel, delicious food that is elegantly prepared, and a dedication to service excellence that borders on the fanatical.
The name Atlas was inspired by the International gastropub fare created by Chef Kenneth Johnson (chefkennethjohnson.com), which will be offered from the four corners of the world.
Partner Michel Toledano was born in Morocco and grew up in Paris. He lived in Israel and Belgium before emigrating to the United States to open two highly successful New Jersey restaurants.
Founding partner Jeffrey Miller is well read and well traveled. He’s extremely knowledgeable about food and is a respected expert on wine. He studied cooking in Italy, in six local regions.
Monty Melwani, while working in the industry, always had a dream to launch a restaurant in Downtown Jersey City. When he found like-minded partners who shared his passion, he knew his dream would become a reality.
